Body shape and the length and size of your existing muscles will be the factors involved in determining the size of your pectoral implants. The pectoral implant surgery usually takes between one and two hours to complete and in some cases can be combined with liposuction in order to create optimal results. The combination of these two procedures can give you the optimal results you want.

Pectoral implants are significantly different from female breast implants, as they have a flatter profile and are designed to be firm in texture. The pectoral implants procedure is performed by creating an incision hidden in the armpit through which the implant is inserted underneath the existing muscles. A variety of sizes of implants are available which vary in width and projection, which your surgeon will discuss with you in order to meet your expectations and get the result you desire.

Please note: After your pectoral implants plastic surgery procedure you will not be able to drive for about 2 weeks and you will need to rest shoulder and chest area for this time, lying in any comfortable position other than on your front. Strenuous exercise and lifting should be avoided for approximately four weeks.

Any bruising from surgery usually lasts only 10-14 days but swelling may last for up to 6 weeks and any handling of the pectoral region must be very gentle.
